Carol Kaye Lesson

7/14/2011

Carol Kaye is one of the most prolific and widely heard bass players of all time playing on an estimated 10,000 recording sessions in a 55 year career. She's worked with the leading producers and musical directors during the 60s and 70s, including Brian Wilson, Phil Spector, Dave Grusin and John Williams.

One thing that Carol is very passionate about is the use of arpeggios and chord tones. I've put together a series of video tutorials covering how to REALLY learn your arpeggios and chord tones - not just touch the surface! Click on the link to check them out...

Here we have a great lesson where Carol discusses the importance of chord tones.
