Until I finally figured it out, I was constantly wondering what the great bass players are thinking about when they're laying down some serious grooves, or busting out an epic solo...
Are they thinking notes? Are they thinking patterns? Are they playing licks?
Some players I studied with said they thought notes, some said they thought patterns, and the gag is... they're really doing ALL three of the of the above... but, the really great players are doing something else as well.
In this lesson I'm going to tell you exactly what it is + I'm going to give you a great exercise to help you start getting it into your playing.
This playing tip is HUGE. If you're not thinking like this yet, you NEED to get it into your bass playing. Period. It's that important.
As always, see you in the shed...
