Faculty Spotlight: Rich Brown

Published September 11, 2017 in Notes

Last month we kicked off our brand-new monthly SBL faculty spotlight feature with the mighty Steve Jenkins... This month’s spotlight sees Rich Brown take centre stage, who’s on the verge of releasing a brand-new course into the SBL course library (see the trailer below for a sneak peek). Without wishing to steal too much of Rich’s thunder, the new course is going to stretch your bass playing to the max!

Rich lives in Toronto where he has been entertaining the crowds since 1992. During that time he has performed and recorded with some of the finest musicians in the world including jazz vocalist Carol Welsman, Jane Siberry, Glenn Lewis, Dapp Theory, Steve Coleman & 5 Elements, James 'Blood' Ulmer, Vernon Reid, Andy Narrell, Bruce Cockburn, Marc Jordan, Kim Mitchell, and David Clayton Thomas (of Blood, Sweat, & Tears).

Rich has been blowing our student's socks off ever since he joined the SBL faculty over a year ago. As I'm sure you already know, being the unrepentant bass-heads that we are, we've assembled an AMAZING faculty to support our students, which includes some of the best bass educators in the world - Rufus Philpot, Todd Johnson, Ariane Cap, Gary Willis, Ed Friedland, Steve Lawson, Danny Mo Morris, Damian Erskine and Cody Wright, to name just a few. What we’re offering with ScottsBassLessons is a completely new opportunity for anyone who is ready to push their bass playing to the next level.
