Bass Albums That Changed Music. Ep 6. Jaco Pastorius
What can you say about Jaco Pastorius? The Jimi Hendrix of bass, the self-proclaimed greatest bass player of all time. Jaco will forever be remembered as a musical genius who completely changed the game. All the more poignant for the fact that his life was tragically cut short 35 years ago.
In today’s video, Ian Allison offers up a little insight into Jaco’s 1976 debut album. There’s even a FREE PDF workbook to help you learn each part - get the fretless out!
They say Jaco is the greatest bass player that ever lived - this is the album that proves it.
As always, see you in the shed…
