Top 5 FUNK riffs for every beginner bassist
12/3/2022
I can’t help it! Funk music makes me wanna get up offa’ that thing (James Brown reference… I had to do it).
In today’s video, I sit down with Ian Allison to talk about tone, technique and the all-important swagger that’s needed to play funk music. Then it's your turn with a set of five gloriously funky bass riffs to learn. From James Brown and P-Funk to Vulfpeck and Herbie Hancock, if you’re a beginning bass player, this lesson will get you started the right way!
As always, see you in the shed…
Scott :)
