This a fantastic fusion tune that’s influenced by 90s-era Brecker Brothers, Weather Report and Allan Holdsworth. A lot of fusion music contains non-diatonic harmony and syncopated rhythms, elements that are most definitely present in this tune! The bass line has a number of really interesting features, including unison lines and rhythms that move across the barline. We’re also presented with the opportunity to establish and develop our own bass lines over some different chord sequences!
