Craig Strain

Having played for 26 years, Craig has a broad range of musical experiences and specialities, from jazz and cruise ships to funk and pop. His main passion has been his own 8 piece instrumental funk/fusion outfit called Pickpocket, having written and produced 3 albums over 6 years with their most recent release 'Refraction' being mixed by Jason Kingsland, who also produced Forq. Craig also has a passion for gear, especially pedals and amps, and currently his favourite bass is his 2009 F Bass VF5 in Ash/Maple.

Craig is originally from Scotland and now based in Melbourne, where he teaches bass in high school, gigs regularly and runs his own bass lessons as well as joining SBL as a coach and tutor for Student Focus.
