Damian Erskine

Being the nephew of renowned drummer Peter Erskine, who once formed a formidable rhythm section with Jaco Pastorius in Weather Report, Damian has honed his chops with some of the best jazz and Latin musicians the West coast of America has to offer; he has also established an acclaimed solo career and is an adjunct professor at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. He regularly teaches abroad with JAE (Jazz Education Abroad) in Shanghai, Beijing and Bangkok and has taught in the US at Gerald Veasley’s Bass Bootcamp, the National Guitar Workshop and Berklee College of Music’s Guitar Week.
