Jacob Umansky

From his early band Painted In Exile to stints with The Faceless and Aviations, Jacob Umansky is a name you’re probably familiar with if you keep up with current events in the world of metal. But he’s more than just the bass player in a progressive metal band. Jacob’s also an accomplished composer, recording artist and instructor.

Following his graduation from the Berklee College of Music (where he studied with Victor Bailey, Anthony Vitti, Whit Browne, and Lincoln Goines) Jacob joined the Canadian progressive rock band Intervals and has since toured alongside the likes of Animals As Leaders, Veil of Maya, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson and Limp Bizkit. Jacob also produces tutorial videos for Dingwall Guitars, Darkglass and Neural DSP.
