Awesome String Skipping Groove! (L#102)

String skipping can be one of the most awkward and challenging moves to master with your plucking hand. And, a groove like this will be quick to highlight any technique issues you have that need to be focused on and cleaned up.

I created this groove lesson for that exact reason. You need to be asking yourself questions such as...

>>> Am I muting correctly? >>> Am I anchoring my thumb or using the floating thumb technique? >>> Am I using alternate plucking or the raking technique? >>> Am I using rest strokes or free strokes?

Your plucking hand is as important as your fretting hand. Too many bass players concentrate solely on their fretting hand; Scales, arpeggios, pentatonics etc. Make sure you're not one of them, as it will hold back your progress as a bass player in a big way.
