Greatest Bass Line Ever? Ep4. 'Good Times' Chic
2/26/2022
Written by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards, CHIC’s Good Times remains one of the most-loved disco bass lines EVER! Relentlessly sampled to the point that it’s woven into every bass player’s DNA, its tempo and groove is a case study in how to make people dance.
In today’s new video, Ian Allison breaks down the Bernard Edwards bass-driven classic. We’re going to teach you the bass line (which the Sugar Hill Gang famously sampled in their breakthrough hit, Rapper’s Delight) and also give you a FREE DOWNLOAD with all of the tab and notation.
As always, see you in the shed…
Scott :)
